Barry's Bio:

Barry is the perfect point - counterpoint to Susan who brings her sales and marketing skills in continually presenting new heights in gift giving. Barry takes care of the operations of the company. While keeping his quality-control eye on the bakery production, lending his artistic skills in the art department, and working with the accounting department, he focuses on keeping systems and procedures running efficiently and on schedule. He says that Susan often promises the impossible and it's his job to do it, because ultimately, they both strive to serve their customers with excellence. With the help of a great management team, he guides a staff of 45. Using his prior experience as a luxury homebuilder, Barry designed and built Cookies From Home from its beginnings as a Victorian parlor cookie shop to its present 12,000 sq. ft. bakery. After almost 25 years, he never tires of eating his cookies...for quality control purposes only, of course! Hunka Chunka is his favorite cookie.

Barry shares his heart and commitment in another arena...that of social causes. He spends much time with homeless issues in Phoenix, sitting on the board of directors of the largest emergency shelter in the state, Central Arizona Shelter Services, mentoring those emerging from homelessness, being a committee member of the City of Tempe Task Force on the Homeless, and participating in the newly developing Continuum of Care committee. His goal is to create and build housing for those transitioning out of homelessness.
